Lieutenant Hill first joined the BPD in June of 2013 and during his tenure with BPD, Lt. Hill has served as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, and now currently serves as the Operations Lieutenant for BPD.
Prior to beginning his Law Enforcement career, Lieutenant Hill worked as an Operations Manager for Saltwater Hauling Co., a Lease Production Supervisor for Rodessa Oilfield Co., and has experience in Automation Design & Licensed Alarm Sales & Installations.
Lieutenant Hill holds an Advanced Peace Officer License, Basic SWAT Certification, TCOLE Classroom Instructor Certification, TCOLE Firearms Instructor Certification, Project Life-Saver Instructor Certification, and Explosive Breaching Certification. He’s currently a Team Member of Regional Special Response Team where he served as a Team Leader from 2018-2020. In 2014, Lieutenant Hill was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award from the Bullard Police Department which is given to the individual who consistently exceeds the department’s standards, exemplifies a professional demeanor, and shows unwavering devotion to the department.
He is very involved in many community organizations including the Bullard ISD Safety Committee, the Brook Hill School Safety Taskforce, and Project Life-Saver. We are thankful to have John Hill serving as the City of Bullard’s Operations Lieutenant!
